Estimated cost

277.00 thousands of euros

Functional purpose of the equipment

Obtaining an image of an object's surface with high spatial resolution and a large depth of field;
studying the microstructure of materials: metals, alloys, ceramics, composites, semiconductor materials;
fractographic studies of the fracture surface structure.

Motivation of the need for equipment

Scanning electron microscopy research is of fundamental importance and plays a primary role in the implementation of defense projects (identifying the structure and chemical composition of armor plates, armor-piercing cores, projectiles, etc.) However, the scanning electron microscope (REM-106I, manufactured in 2002) available at the CCSCNU is morally and technically outdated, which does not allow it to fully solve the tasks assigned to the university.

Estimated cost

35.00 thousands of euros

Functional purpose of the equipment

Determination of qualitative and quantitative phase composition, macroscopic stresses, layer thickness of thin film compositions, particle and pore size

Motivation of the need for equipment

The acquisition of this equipment will reduce the duration of one study by up to 10 times and increase the accuracy of the results obtained

Request ID: req.m615ew
Estimated cost

45.00 thousands of euros

Functional purpose of the equipment

For high-quality sample preparation and sample preparation

Motivation of the need for equipment

The need for the purchase is directly related to the need for high-quality support of the educational process (laboratory work, master's theses) and research work under the state budget order of a defense nature and the uninterrupted and full-fledged functioning of the center for collective use of scientific equipment “Materials Science of Refractory Compounds and Composites”.
